Mario goes Bananas

The scenario in this picture is set in a fictional semi-Mayan forest where our heroes are fighting a group of Goombas and Koopa troopas using their new "also fictional" power ups...the Monkey suits!!. The idea is that this Monkey suit power up, would be only found in this new forest world ( similar to the penguin suit in the ice world ).

The monkey suit lets the users throw slippery bananas, that also knock the opponent when hit...if not, the banana would drop to the ground for someone to slip on it ( koopas are the ones that roll around like if they were kicked when they step on the banana). The suit also gives the wearer increased speed and agility ( Luigi is swinging like a monkey ).

I tried to incorporate several ideas in this concept picture...a little bit of darkness, cool scenario, action... while still trying to keep a similar style from the game; in this one in particular I used a perspective close to the one you see in the games.
