The Return of the King II

This picture is the second of my "The Return of the King" series...this time the title is making allusion to the King of the Bob-ombs, that is terrorizing the heroes with a small group of bob-ombs at his side.

The scenario in this picture is set in a fictional future timeline were Mario and Luigi are older and have two sons ( both Mario jr & Luigi jr at the bottom of the picture )... and have to fight the now grown up Koopalings in a volcanic castle. The first picture featured Ludwig and Koopa jr, this one has Morton jr and Iggy Koopa...both are now bigger and stronger and Iggy continues to use his weird contraptions, this time a backpack helicopter.

Petey Piranha has also returned using a pool of Goop with lots of piranha plants coming out of it.

I tried to modify the characters design to make them look older, Morton and Iggy have more teeth, bigger spikes longer hair...Morton also has a bigger mouth and eyes that now resemble his father, he also has gained an incredible amount of weight, represented by the multiple cracks on the floor beneath his feet.

Mario is using his new power up, becoming cloud Mario.
